Angelo Cortines is a Barcelona based artist, head of the artist collective Pineal. His DJ sets dance along Minimal Tech and Acid House sounds with a distinctive touch of spacey vibes by introducing his own tracks into the mix.
He began his artistic career in the electronic music scene in 2009 while studying sound recording and editing. At that time he was working in a music studio which allowed him to meet many artists.
This motivated Angelo to start producing electronic music and create his own sound. From there it wasn’t long until he started playing in local clubs in Dominican Republic, where he got his first artist residency.
Angelo moved to Barcelona in 2013 and with a group of creatives formed Pineal Barcelona. A platform for emerging artists to share their passion for music and merge the local underground scene with international artists. They are currently developing Pineal booking agency and planning a Caribbean tour in 2022.
He has shared the Dj booth with artists like Oshana, CAP, Marc Brauner, Alex Tea, Adeline, Juarez, Moreon, Kid Moss, Lis Arroca, Pau Roses, Dekard, Rufo, Novaj, CMYK, Agustin Alvarez and regularly mixes in BCN clubs while producing events with his collective. Nowadays, he plays different genres such as house, powerhouse, acid, minimal, techno, breaks. Always looking to experiment with different sounds and influences and to please the melomaniacs on the dancefloor.
