To close Lacuna Recordings‘ 2020 EP calendar with a bang after what has been an eventful year. LCN 013 presents 03 collabs from two rising artists from Netherlands and Chile, Close To Custom & Astre; where we appreciate how they work and blend their individual production styles in each song perfectly.

On remix duties we have on board 02 great artists, the Slovenian Alex Ranerro and the man of the moment DJOKO. Both producers add their signature sound on the originals cuts featuring a mix of chords and synth stabs accompanied with subtle rolling basslines.

The LCN 013 EP starts with the original Illusions cut. A melodic and fresh track defined by happy rhythms, pads and wah-wah that merge in perfect balance with an exotic vocal of a female singer. It is followed by Alex Ranerro‘s remix of Illusions, with a version loaded with syncopated drums, enveloping bassline and vocals that give a Deep House tone to the track.

For the 3rd cut, we have Espace by Close To Custom & Astre where they debut a futuristic cut dominated by an abysmal bassline and pads taken from an unknown future. A tune that exudes sci fi settings with a latent funk essence in the melody. On the 4th track, we have Espace remix by the German DJOKO, where he delivers a more relaxed, laid back and experimental version of the song, filled with out of space melodies.

To conclude the EP, we have Apollo, which like the first cut; is a production where they lead pleasant melodies, fresh sounds and a peculiar voice of a female singer that grants great energy to the tune.
