Holland has become one of the most predominant party countries in Europe. Through major festivals and clubs with some of the best international DJ line-ups, they have made this change a reality.

In fact, the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, has become a must for European clubbing, offering a great list of events, festivals and clubs that have positioned it as one of the most nurtured scenes in recent years.

In this note, we mention some of the best clubs of the moment in the Netherlands, for an epic weekend of electronic music.

Warehouse Elementenstraat:

Hidden away in the industrial west of Amsterdam is the Warehouse Elementenstraat, home to one of Holland’s most influential party venues.

This club has been in existence for 20 years and throughout its history has hosted the biggest raves and House Nights in Amsterdam.

Location that remained empty for a while and was rediscovered by the techno artists collective GZG. Since then, the iconic venue has regained its soul and has become a party venue for the biggest electronic music promoters in the Netherlands and Europe. Thanks to the nightclub’s 24-hour license, some nights go on until 10am as is the case with Reaktor Events, as well as Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), who have a secure home slot for marathons up to 3 days long.

TOFFLER:

In the heart of Rotterdam, 5 minutes walk from the central station, is located on Weenna Street, the underground club ‘TOFFLER’. Until the early hours of the morning, international and national names of the house and techno scene will provide ecstasy on the dance floor. Names such as Chris Liebing, Nina Kraviz, Seth Troxler, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli, Jamie Jones, Art Department, Henrik Schwarz, Maya Jane Coles, MK, tINI, Eats Everything, Skream and Hot Since 82 have already taken their place behind the dynamic DJ booth.

The hydraulic system of the DJ booth, developed especially for TOFFLER, is a world first and is perfectly adapted to the club in the former pedestrian tunnel. Never before have the entire back wall, the DJ equipment and the light and sound system been able to move from one side to the other during the evening. The lighting effects, which intensify during the night, will delight many of your guests.

De School

Amsterdam’s infamous De School nightclub is one of the best designed venues in Holland and Europe. Much loved by trendy locals and ravers of all times, it’s now more «underground’ish» than Underground. It simply coordinates the best line-ups in the country.

Perfect stage for deep, dark and industrial techno nights. The lights are off, flashing for fractions of a second at a time allowing glimpses of the ravers. The school was designed by Dutch architect Willem Marinus Dudok, who emphasized individual expression: structures, cubes, textures and bricks.

De School is owned and operated by Post CS BV, the same team that ran the Trouw and Club 11 nightclubs in Amsterdam.

In fact, everything fits together perfectly in harmony. The design of the club, the look and feel, the garden, the concerts, the restaurant, the café, the gym, the graphics and the communication. The place is paradise for weekends, thanks to the club’s 24-hour license.

RADION:

RADION is a nightclub with an industrial feel that is located a bit out of town. The club is a cultural meeting point in Amsterdam, Holland.

The legendary venue makes a leap to the top and transforms into the home of Techno during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Since 2015 it has been allowed to operate 24 hours non-stop. This has allowed it to create and program countless events of different cultural disciplines.

Its current location, known as ACTA, used to be the academic center for dentistry in the Dutch capital.

Besides being a nightclub RADION is also a free cultural retreat where we constantly explore the boundaries and interfaces of art. Everything from underground electronic music to innovative photo exhibitions and street art markets can be found in the spaces of this location. Even, why not, you can stay at RADION for a coffee in the morning every day of the week.

As honorable mentions of Holland top clubs, we can add to the list OT301, VLLA and the event brand VYBZ. They are doing a great job in behalf of the electronic music culture in Holland.
