In this 5th note dedicated to the record labels that can't miss in your playlists, we'll talk about Chapeau Music and Underyourseat Label.

Chapeau Music is a vinyl and digital record label, as well as an event promotion company based in Italy and the Netherlands. Active since 2011 and founded by Dj/Producer Niceteed, it’s a label with over 100 releases to date.

Chapeau Music’s roster of EPs features names from the scene such as Ben Prophet, Max Page, GES, ProOne79, Josh Coakley, Niceteed, Sankuh and many more. Highlighting the label’s most recent EP, titled «All Set» by Ika Sile and DJ Physical. Two of the most promising and avant-garde techno producers out there right now.

Without a doubt, «All Set» is an EP that explores the confines of techno, trance and everything in between. With dense acid lines, punchy vocal samples and hypnotic drums, it’s a jam-packed and intriguing future-oriented release.

All Set EP is a reference made of 3 original tracks and a stunning remix by «Hanubis», one of Italy’s best techno producers.

On the other hand, Underyourseat is an event promoter and record label based in Gran Canaria and Berlin, founded by the artists Javier Carballo and Berna. A label focused on promoting the most underground sounds and that over 14 releases, they have managed to embody flawlessly.

To date, the label features renowned artists from the global scene, such as: Lowwaxx, Terms, Matt Star, Matt Star, Zolbaran, C.E.S.M., Diego Viera, Look Perry, Bryce, etc. On their latest EP called «Steroids», the chosen pilot is Melgar. A booming talent on the circuit that showcases an innovative sound, with 3 cleverly arranged, yet extremely danceable cuts.

Glitchy beeps and bleeps take you for a ride on ‘Postvill‘, which opens the EP. Crunchy drum programming is the driving force of the track, riding over a elasticated rhythm for trained ears. ‘Special‘ takes you down a mysterious path with ethereal textures, but before you know it, you’re met with a sub thumping bassline that takes the helm. Deep synths and pads create a bubbly, spacey atmosphere, ideal for the dancefloor.

To close the release, we get the EP’s title track, «Steroids«, which brings the funk to the EP. An animated quest through tight drums and emotive elements, with the looping groove ready to breathe life into any given DJ set.
